The strategy-focused way to grow your wine brand with confidence

In 12 weeks, you’ll turn your scattered marketing into a simple, seasonal system that keeps your bottles moving and your visitor numbers growing, without adding more to your plate.

Here's the uncomfortable truth:

You're a better winemaker than you are a marketer.
And it's costing you sales every single day. You know it. You feel it every time you sit down to write an email or plan a promotion. The work you've put into your wines - the careful canopy management, the harvest timing, the blending decisions - deserves marketing that's just as strategic and intentional.

Instead, here's what's actually happening:

  • You're in constant reaction mode. New release? Scramble to post about it. Event coming up? Throw together an email together. Meanwhile, your competitors with mediocre wine but solid marketing are outselling you.

  • You've spent thousands on "brand stuff" - logo, website, labels, photography - but you still can't answer the question: "What marketing actually brings in sales?" You're making decisions based on gut feel, not data.

  • Your revenue streams are competing instead of collaborating.
Your cellar door visitors don’t join your wine club.
Your wine club members never visit the estate.
Your trade buyers don’t promote your wines to local customers.
    Nothing connects.

  • Winter destroys your marketing momentum. Every January you go dark. There are only so many pruning posts you can share before it gets dull. Your cash flow looks like a rollercoaster because your marketing does too.

  • You're exhausted. Not from the vineyard and winery work - you signed up for that. But from the constant nagging feeling that you should be doing more marketing, better marketing, different marketing... if only you knew what that actually meant.

If even one of those landed, you're in the right place.

Imagine a typical Monday morning in your new reality:

You're walking through the vineyard with your coffee, checking the Chardonnay block. Your phone buzzes - three new wine club signups from this weekend's visitors. (Your cellar door team used the welcome script you created together, and it's working.)

Back at your desk, you spend 20 minutes reviewing last week's email stats. The "meet the winemaker" email pulled £1,200 in sales. The harvest update got opened by 64% of your list - your highest yet. You make a note: behind-the-scenes content works. Do more of that.

You check your marketing calendar. This week's Instagram content is already scheduled. Your wine club newsletter goes out Thursday - it's already written, just needs your quick review. Your trade follow-ups for Q4 are mapped out. Total time spent on marketing today: 35 minutes.

You grab your secateurs and head back to the vineyard. Because
that's where you should be spending your time.

No guilt. No scrambling. No wondering if you're doing enough.

Just clarity, confidence, and a system that actually works.

Introducing

Master of Marketing Wine

Master of Marketing Wine is a 12-week 1:1 consulting programme designed to turn your marketing from a collection of ideas into a clear, connected system that drives real results.

Over 12 weeks, we’ll work together to design a marketing plan that fits your business, your goals, your capacity, and the natural rhythm of your vineyard year.

It’s about bringing everything — your brand, your offers, your events, and your wine club — into one structured, strategic system that supports consistent growth.

This isn’t about adding more marketing to your to-do list.
It’s about creating a plan that makes every action count so you know exactly where to focus, what to prioritise, and how to measure success.

You’ll finally have the clarity and direction to market your winery with the same confidence and precision you bring to your winemaking.

By the end of our 12 weeks, you’ll have:

  • A clear, practical marketing strategy designed around your goals and capacity.

  • A streamlined system for planning and managing your marketing year-round.

  • Messaging and positioning that connect with the right audiences, from visitors to trade.

  • Confidence in where to focus your time, energy, and investment for the best results.

How it works

Over 12 weeks, we’ll move step by step through a focused process designed to turn your marketing from reactive to reliable.

You’ll get personal support, clear direction, and the practical systems you need to bring everything together.

So why am I the right person to help with your marketing strategy?

Hi, I'm Michelle, and I have a pretty unusual combination of credentials for a marketing consultant.

I have a BSc in Viticulture and Oenology. I've worked in wineries and vineyards. I speak your language - from bud break to bottling.

But I also have 18 years running and marketing businesses.

I'm not a marketer trying to "niche down" to wine. I actually understand viticulture. And I'm not a wine person dabbling in marketing - I've built real marketing systems that generate real revenue.

What you get when we work together: someone who understands both your cellar and your business. No jargon, no generic tactics, just practical systems that work with your reality.

Ana Sugrue, Winemaker & Sales Director at Sugrue South Downs

The top three things I enjoyed most about working with Michelle were:

Firstly, after each session I was able to apply and implement what we had discussed immediately to my business for instant impact.

Secondly, our weekly meetings were great because Michelle was completely focused on my business and the type of brand I wanted to build.

Thirdly, for the first time, I actually got to put all my ideas on paper, instead of them just swirling around my mind, and actually, I had some really good ideas!

Without talking things through with Michelle, I never would have written these strategies down.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time will I need to commit?

Plan for 2-3 hours per week over 12 weeks. That includes watching the weekly tutorial (15-20 minutes) and implementing what we cover (1-2 hours). Plus our four 1-hour strategy calls.

The beauty of this programme is that we're building systems that will
save you time long-term. Yes, there's focused work upfront. But by week 12, you'll have cut your weekly marketing time from 8+ scattered hours to 3 focused hours - and you'll be getting better results.

When can I start? Can we work around busy times in the vineyard or winery?

I work with 4-6 wineries per quarter, and we absolutely work around your vineyard calendar.

The video tutorials are available 24/7, so you can watch them any time. The programme is designed to work
with your reality, not against it.

What if I'm not very technical / don't know how to set up email sequences?

You don't need to be technical. If you can send an email, you can do this.
I'll show you exactly how to set up everything step-by-step. Most of my clients use simple, affordable tools like Mailchimp or MailerLite - I'll help you choose what's right for you and walk you through the setup.

Plus, you have unlimited email support throughout. If you get stuck on the technical side, you're never figuring it out alone.

Is this right for a brand new winery vs. an established one?

This works best if you've been in business for at least 2-3 years. You need some sales history and customer data to build on.

If you're brand new (pre-revenue or first harvest), you might benefit more from getting your foundation right first - product, pricing, basic sales channels. Then come back to this when you're ready to scale.

If you're established (3+ years of sales), this will help you bring structure to what's already working and find the growth you've been missing.

Still have questions?

If you’re ready to make your marketing feel as professional as your wine, but still have a few questions, the next step is simple:

Book a short discovery call by clicking the button below to make sure this is the right fit for you and your winery.

We’ll discuss your goals, challenges, and whether the timing feels right. There’s no pressure, just a genuine conversation about what you need and how I can help.

Once confirmed, you’ll receive your welcome pack, pre-work questionnaire, and access to the first week’s material and first session date.

Because this is a hands-on consulting experience, spaces are limited to a small number of clients each quarter, ensuring you get my full focus and support.

Ready to master your marketing?

Most wine producers don't realise they've reached the tipping point - the moment when marketing stops being the thing you 'fit in' and becomes the thing that drives the whole business forward.

Don't put it off any longer. Your wine deserves to be seen, shared, and celebrated.

But it also deserves a marketing system that works as hard as you do.

Due to the high-touch nature of the programme, I can only offer a few spaces each quarter. Don't waste any more time. Your business needs this - sign up now.
