Hi, I'm Michelle Knight.

Running a vineyard should feel exciting but for many owners, it quickly becomes overwhelming. Slim margins, constant costs, and the pressure to make wine tourism work can turn a dream into a daily struggle.

I’ve seen how quickly the challenges can stack up, and how much difference the right strategy can make.

From Business to Wine

I’m a certified business strategist and marketing specialist with 18 years’ experience helping businesses grow. My passion has always been systems, strategy, and freeing people from the chaos of working in their business instead of on it.

I put that into practice myself. I was able to take a passive income from my first business for five years - giving me the freedom to go back to full-time education and earn a BSc in Viticulture and Oenology from Plumpton College.

That’s when English Wine Pro Ltd was born: a way to bring together my two worlds — business strategy and winemaking — to help English and Welsh wine estates grow sustainably.

In the Vineyards

Since then, I’ve worked in, and with, estates of all shapes and sizes:

Ridgeview and Highweald (in their wineries)
Tanhurst Estate (building their business & marketing strategy from scratch)
Sugrue South Downs (consulting on marketing strategy with Ana Sugrue)
Consulting with vineyard managers in my role as Partnership Manager at Cordon Technologies, an eco-friendly vineyard equipment start-up.

This mix of experience means I understand the industry from the ground up: the challenges in the vineyard, the complexity of production, and the high stakes of sales, marketing, and tourism.
